About Us

Fran and Fred May are the owners of Serenity Acres. Fran has been involved with horses her entire life, having a family that raised and raced Thoroughbred horses. She has an extensive knowledge of the care and well being of the equine. Fran has also shown successfully in 3-day Eventing and Dressage. Even though she no longer teaches she is always available to give her expert advice.

Fred retired from law enforcement after 25 years, He has always loved to pleasure ride and bought His first horse Cody May in 1986. Today Cody is also retired, living out his life on the green pastures of Serenity Acres. Fred no longer rides but loves to interact with all the boarders. He is the reason the farm looks like a park setting as he is always maintaining the property, pastures and fencing.
